On June 22, 2022, the guidance document entitled "Requirements for Labeling of Medical Devices (MDA/GD/0026), Fifth Edition" was published. However, the MDA provides a transition period until December 31, 2022 to meet the requirements set out in the guidance document.
MDA hopes that every company that wants to import and distribute medical devices will immediately fulfill the "Requirements for Labeling of Medical Devices (MDA/GD/0026)" before January 1, 2023. To ensure the import and distribution of medical devices can run smoothly, it is better before December 31, 2022, the companies establish a completed place of business.
