HSA ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT VOLUNTARY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM (VNS)
On August 1, 2022, the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) will establish a Voluntary Notification System (VNS) for Health Supplements (HS) and Traditional Medicines (TM) to create a secure, reliable and usable local database for transactions. This allows for increased traceability and follow-up action by the HSA in the event of a safety or quality issue.
Currently, VNS only receives 4 types of products' voluntary notifications, and only companies registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) locally can send products' notifications.

- Vitamin and mineral Suplement
To prove that their goods comply with the required safety and quality standards and labeling regulations, companies participating in VNS are expected to provide HSA related documents. Examples of documents required to complete notification submission which will be submitted within 2 working days to HSA_TMHS@hsa.gov.sg as attachments in the form of email:
- Copy of the submitted form
- Manufacturer's licence/certification
- Certificate of Analysis
- Final artwork or product label
- Laboratory test report for toxic heavy metal and icrobial limits
- Laboratory test report for poisons screening
- Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy (TSE)
- Undertaking Form for Website Address or QR Code on Packaging Materials
- Checklist on documentary requirements for voluntary notification of CHP
Dealers are required to use this form to submit and HAS may request other information relevant to the application.
