On January 19, 2022, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia issued a decision regarding the Standard of Anthropometric Equipment and Early Detection Equipment for Child Development, documented as Number HK.01.07/MENKES/51/2022. The Anthropometry Kit comprises both medical and non-medical devices, including baby weight measuring devices classified as medical devices, and body length measuring devices, which are categorized as non-medical.

Importantly, medical devices within the kit must have a distribution permit from the Ministry of Health. The regulation states that "Anthropometry Kits can be circulated without needing a distribution permit number as a kit, provided that the weight measuring instrument in the kit already has a distribution permit from the Ministry of Health."

There are two types of medical devices included in the Anthropometry Kit, each with its own packaging and intended use. Notably, these two types of medical devices do not complement each other's intended use.
